NJ Transit train service is suspended between Rahway and Trenton on the Northeast Corridor line. The North Jersey Coast line is also delayed.
New Jersey Transit train service on a portion of the Northeast Corridor line remains suspended Monday morning due to downed wires in Edison.The North Jersey Coast Line is also affected with up to 45-minutes delays in both directions due to congestion on the Northeast Corridor line.
NJ Transit and private carrier buses will honor train tickets. Train tickets will also be accepted on PATH at Newark Penn Station, Hoboken and 33rd Street in New York. Edison police said the downed wires are on Talmadge Road and the result of motor vehicle accident. Talmadge Road has been closed between Route 27 and Carter Drive since shortly before 5 a.m.
