Services that were suspended will resume Sunday, conditions permitting.

Bus, RiverLine and AccessLink service will resume at the start of Sunday’s service day, NJ Transit officials announced Saturday afternoon. Riders are warned to expect delays, based on storm cleanup and local street and highway conditions, and to leave extra travel time.

Highway conditions across the state improved by late afternoon with pavement plowed to the blacktop on major state highways, despite near blizzard conditions being reported in some parts of New Jersey. As temperatures and wind chills dropped, officials were preparing for icing conditions Saturday afternoon into evening.

Cross honoring of tickets and passes between rail, bus and light rail, in addition to private commuter bus carriers, will continue Sunday until the end of the service day. Riders should check NJ Transit alerts and use the NJ Transit app for information about service changes. Service on NJ Transit rail lines, Newark Light Rail and Hudson-Bergen Light Rail are expected to continue to operate on regular weekend schedules for the remainder of the service day on Saturday, officials said.on rail lines experienced delays due to weather conditions and Amtrak deploying its Ice Patrol in the Hudson River tunnels between New Jersey and New York late Saturday afternoon.
