Nissan is recalling more than 809,000 SUVs in the U.S. and Canada because of a glitch that can cause the ignition to turn off while the vehicle is being operated.

The company says the vehicles have keys that may not stay fully open. If the keys are not fully open while the vehicle is being driven,The engine and the power brakes could stop working, and the air bags may not deploy during a collision. Nissan has not yet come up with a solution to the problem. Owners will receive a letter from the automaker in March warning them not to attach anything else to the key fob ring.
Later, they will receive a followup letter urging them to take their vehicles to their dealership for repairs.This is the second time in the span of a few weeks Nissan has issued a recall for its vehicles. In mid-February, Nissan
