Rumours have it that the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 is being pushed back a month or two from its initial release. The good news though, is that the delay is only by a couple of months, at most.
Previous reports suggested that Nintendo had plans to release the gaming system by March 2025, however, the company has allegedly told game developers that it won’t be available till after the company’s fiscal year ends, which is 31 March 2025. According to Chris Dring, from Games Industry, the Switch 2 should be revealed by April or May next year. And that's because Nintendo plans to have a longer list of AAA game titles ready at launch with the console itself.
“No developer I’ve spoken to expects it to be launching this financial year. In fact, they’ve been told not to expect it in the financial year. A bunch of people I spoke to hope it’s out in April or May time, still early next year, not late.” The only information we have now is that the gaming system’s hardware relies on NVIDIA's Ampere for the GPU and the Tegra for its APU.
