It appears more and more stores are raising prices in the coming months. After Eco-Shop Malaysia announced a 20-cent price hike on all items nationwide, its competitor Ninso Malaysia also announced a similar price increase.

The convenience store recently shared a notice on their social media pages, announcing the change in their pricing. According to the notice, all Ninso Malaysia stores nationwide will increase prices from RM2.40 to RM2.60 in Peninsular Malaysia and from RM2.60 to RM2.80 in Sabah and Sarawak. The new prices will take effect at all outlets starting 14th April 2025, so customers can still enjoy the usual price until then.In the post, Ninso Malaysia also explained the reason for the price change.

Netizens and customers have since reacted to the news, with many expressing disappointment over all the recent price hikes. It’s worth noting that Eco-Shop Malaysia also prompted similar responses after announcing its new prices earlier this March. Some even joked that the two companies were in cahoots to increase prices together. However, some said the price hikes are unavoidable given the current economic conditions.

It seems the price increase is inevitable, but what are your thoughts on this? Will you continue shopping at Ninso Malaysia? Or will you shop elsewhere?
