revealed on Tuesday , that the tour he had hinted at in December 2019 had actually been booked -- and then the global coronavirus pandemic hit.
"I suppose I can let you know we HAD a tour booked this fall that continued and expanded Cold and Black and Infinite [tour]," Reznor captioned a black-and-white photo of the band performing."We were excited. I'm bumming myself out right now." In addition to what would've been the North American tour dates with Jehnny Beth opening, Reznor also revealed that NIN already had merchandise in production for the upcoming tour. Instead of letting it go to waste, it's going to do some good. The merch will be available for purchase on the band's website,"with all of NIN's profits going to local food banks in the cities we were going to play," the musician shared.
With much of the country still sheltering in place, Reznor explained that though he's no longer hitting the road, he won't be sitting idly by either."The current plan is to finish up some scoring projects, work on my limited patience skills, deep dive into new NIN material, and hopefully be playing music for you live in 2020," he wrote."In the meantime... listen to Jehnny's record ... continue to listen to Bowie, and don't be too hard on yourself.
This year had been shaping up to be a big one not just for Reznor, who welcomed his fifth child in January and turned 55 on May 17, but also for the celebrated band. Nine Inch Nails
