Nights of Lights to begin Saturday in St. Augustine
After a late-season tropical storm caused a brief pause for the Northeast Florida tourism industry, local businesses are about to get their annual holiday boost.
The first night begins with Light-Up! Night on Saturday. At 4 p.m. Showtime USA will perform a variety of holiday favorites in front of St. Augustine’s City Hall at 75 King St. And the celebration is a welcomed one for those who lost business twice this fall due to storms — Ian and Nicole — that affected the First Coast.
“With support from Heath Electric and Angels in the Architecture, city staff will have worked hundreds of man hours to re-hang and rewire the Plaza in preparation for Light-Up Night and the kickoff to Nights of Lights,” said Melissa Wissel, communications director for the City of St. Augustine.
