Night-time padi planting nothing new, says Kedah MB
Although the cost of padi production may increase because of the need to install lights, there are other advantages to having farmers work at night, says the Kedah menteri besar. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, May 4, 2019.
THE proposal for padi planting to be done at night is viable as it has been done in the past, said Kedah Menteri Besar Mukhriz Mahathir. He said though some people may feel that the proposal by the prime minister is “extraordinary” or “absurd”, the practice is not new.
