A former Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Rivers State, Chief Mike Ejims Enwukwe, has said that governance should now be focused on human-capital development as is the case under the Governor Siminalayi Fubara-led administration in the state.
Chief Ejims Enwukwe, who was also the Sole Administrator of Risonpalm Limited further stated that the nation has remained in penury because of the naked display of dishonesty and insincerity on the part of the ruling class.
Ejims Enwukwe spoke in Port Harcourt during the funeral programme of his late mother, Deaconess Roseline Enwukwe, at Rumuodani community, Elelenwo clan, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. The former helmsman at the State Ministry of Budget promised never to allow her mother’s legacies to die.
“These are issues that call for explanations! Honesty and hard work should indeed be the watchword of our leaders.”
