Nash says the cast is “brokenhearted” over Floyd’s death as he was being apprehended by police and hopes the donation, help Floyd’s family heal.Niecy Nash appeared on"Good Morning America" Friday morning to announce the cast of"Reno 911" is donating $10,000 to the family of the late George Floyd.
The nation was rocked when Floyd, a black man, died Monday night in Minneapolis after a white police officer knelt on his neck for several minutes while arresting him. He was 46 years old. "Good morning! I am so happy to announce this morning our donation here on 'Good Morning America,'" Nash began."Our cast of 'Reno 911,' we play bumbling cops on TV but, in real life, this is no laughing matter to any of us."
