Conservative podcast host Ben Shapiro got into an online fight with rapper Nicki Minaj over her songwriting.
On his podcast, Shapiro read the lyrics to Minaj's song"Pound Town 2." Shapiro, apparently familiar with Minaj's habit of using different personas in her music, said he hoped one of those characters,"Roman," would make an appearance on the track."Roman said leave his a** out of it sir!" Minaj responded on Twitter."No pun intended."

It features rapper Sexyy Red, whose lyrics were also read by Shapiro. A lyric music video has received 1.5 million views on YouTube.
Shapiro has previously read other rap lyrics, including Cardi B's and Megan Thee Stallion's"WAP," on his podcast. He compared"Pound Town 2" to"WAP," saying Minaj's song made"WAP" seem"child friendly." At the time, Shapiro criticized"WAP" for its explicit lyrics.
