Rookie Faceoff in San Jose: Parking, schedule, players to watch, and other things to know

SAN JOSE – Several top prospects from the Sharks and five other NHL teams will be at Tech CU Arena and Sharks Ice for the Rookie Faceoff, which begins Friday and ends Monday.

The Sharks’ team features a handful of players who have NHL experience, including forwards William Eklund, Thomas Bordeleau, Scott Reedy, and Ryan Merkley. San Jose’s first game is Friday at 7 p.m. at Tech CU Arena against the Anaheim Ducks, who feature first-round draft picks Mason McTavish, Pavel Mintyukov, Jacob Perreault, and Nathan Gaucher.

Other NHL teams in attendance are the Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights.Here’s what fans need to know before they go to the games.
