NSTnation: The NGOs urged the police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) to immediately track down and nab the posters, and punish them accordingly.

"Nengtung Ting" and several other social media users for posting comments deemed insulting to the Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

Pahang Youth Council president Wan Emril Nizam Wan Embong described the Facebook postings as “rude” and “not to be tolerated” as they include insults aimed at the monarchy. “Stern action should be taken to serve as a reminder to other social media users to think before they upload any posting," he said after lodging a police report at the Kuantan district police station, along with representatives from Gabungan Pelajar Melayu Semenanjung and the Kuantan Youth Council.

“Some social media users are going overboard with their comments, and as our loyalty to King and country is paramount, we will not tolerate those who are rude to the royal institution," he said.
