NGO seeking donations for Kuala Koh Orang Asli struck by 'mysterious illness'

Klima Action Malaysia plans to drop off medical, food and fresh water supplies to the Bateq tribe on June 13.

An NGO is trying to raise funds and collect donated supplies to help the Orang Asli community in Kuala Koh who are facing health threats.

“What they are telling us is that the water source in the area is contaminated and they don’t know why. Klima is appealing to the public to donate money so that it can buy the supplies or drop off the purchased goods to them, she said.The campaign, which started yesterday, has collected almost RM6,000 but Nadiah said she hopes to get as many supplies as possible before June 13.
