The new Peugeot 5008 is expected to adopt a similar design philosophy to the new 3008, its smaller sibling
Stellantis chief financial officer Natalie Knight has revealed the next-generation Peugeot 5008 will launch in August next year and will include an all-electric version. We’ve known about the next-gen 5008 since the start of this year when Peugeot confirmed an electric version was in the works. Fast forward to August and our spy photographers snapped the new 5008 testing in ICE guise before an electric prototype was seen in September.
In fact, some 34,560 examples had been sold through September this year, a significant increase from the 26,425 sold over the same period last year. Auto News notes that it was the fifth best-seller in the midsize/large SUV segment. The new Peugeot 5008 is expected to follow a similar design philosophy to the latest 3008, although it will be more of a traditionally shaped SUV as opposed to a coupe SUV.
