The parents of K-pop girl group NJZ's Vietnamese-Australian member Hanni clarified that she obtained a new visa through proper legal procedures, addressing speculation about her visa status in South Korea. Hanni's E-6 visa reportedly expired in February, raising concerns about her ability to continue working as a K-pop singer. The issue stemmed from an ongoing dispute between NJZ and their label Ador, with Hanni's parents alleging that Ador pressured them using Hanni's visa status as leverage. The controversy sparked public complaints and media scrutiny, prompting the parents to address the situation and defend Hanni's rights.

Hanni’s E-6 visa, which allows foreign entertainers to work in South Korea, reportedly expired early in February. The issue has been at the centre of controversy, as it would directly affect NJZ’s planned musical activities over the coming months. The parents said that Ador pressured them by using Hanni’s visa status as leverage. The agency reportedly emailed them a warning that Hanni could risk illegal residency if they refused to sign a visa-extension consent form listing Ador as the affiliated company.
