.NewYorkPost fires rogue employee for controversial posts: Report

Using internal publishing systems, the employee managed to tweak headlines and bylines on some of the stories with vulgar messages on Twitter, according to the publication, which initially claimed it had been"hacked."“The New York Post’s investigation indicates that the unauthorized conduct was committed by an employee, and the employee has been terminated.

After identifying the problem, the New York Post said it removed the posts. Screenshots of the tweets showcased the inflammatory posts. "Devine: We must murder Joe and Hunter Biden," one tweet declared, referencing the Hunter Biden laptop debacle that got the New York Post's Twitter account locked down in the run-up to the 2020 election. Miranda Devine is a columnist who has covered the Hunter Biden story. The employee tweaked an editorial about Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and switched the byline to Ben Shapiro, the New York Times reported.

"The New York Post has long fostered an ugly, toxic conversation on their front pages and social accounts, but these posts are more disgusting and vile than usual," a Hochul spokesperson said."While the Post has made its preferences very clear in the New York governor's race, there is no room for this violent, sexist rhetoric in our politics. We demand answers."
