New York City will ban most private cars along a stretch of 14th Street in Manhattan while repair work is carried out on an L train subway tunnel
Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Wednesday that the new rules would begin when the state-controlled Metropolitan Transportation Authority launches a new rapid bus route along the corridor in June.
