New York Attorney General Letitia James's office announced that it is ready to proceed with a lawsuit against former President Donald Trump and his organization.
James announced the $250 million lawsuit last year, alleging widespread fraud on the part of Trump and his organization. She claimed that the former president misrepresented his wealth in an effort to defraud banks and other financial institutions. Shortly before the third indictment of the former president was brought forward on Tuesday, James's office wrote in a filing that the lawsuit was ready to proceed.
Donald Trump and his family have fervently denied any wrongdoing, accusing James of being a"racist" on multiple occasions.
