Civil servants in Pahang Darul Makmur will have new working hours during Ramadan, allowing them to leave work early. The new working hours are in accordance with the order of the Sultan of Pahang.

With less than 24 hours to the holy Ramadan month, many Muslim friends have started to plan their journey to and from work, given the slight changes in work hours. Many employers tend to give some leniency in working hours , in which Muslim workers are allowed to leave work early. As for civil servants in Pahang Darul Makmur, they have the luxury of clocking out even earlier every Friday at 12:30 pm. Of course, this only applies to Muslims who fast during Ramadan .

In an official statement released by Pahang Menteri Besar, Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail yesterday (March 11), the new working hours for civil servants in Pahang during Ramadan are in accordance with the order of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah. “On this occasion, I would like to pray and express my love to His Majesty the King for his concern and care for the well-being of all of you,” Pahang Menteri Besar said in his statement. The Ramadhan working hours is applicable to all state departments, District and Land Offices, local authorities, and state statutory bodies
