An 11,000-square-foot space atop Georgia James at Regent Square offers views of downtown Houston and a special menu of cocktails and dishes.
steakhouse reopened in its new location in July, the promised rooftop lounge was still under construction. Today, Sept. 16, that 11,000-square-foot space is ready is ready to welcome diners with views of the Houston skyline along Buffalo Bayou.
The lounge, featuring two separate terraces flanking an indoor dining room, will begin service today, augmenting the ground floor restaurant at 3503 W. Dallas at Regent Square.Executive chef Greg Peters has created a special menu for the space with dishes including crab fingers with cane vinegar marinade and mirliton slaw, pork rillettes with toasted focaccia and house-made pickles, shrimp and grits, country ham, prosciutto and cheese, and tuna tartare.
“The reopening of Georgia James has been so well-received by the Houston community, and we are excited to continue the momentum with the opening of our rooftop lounge,” said Raul Lorenzana, Georgia James general manager. “Creating memorable experiences for our guests is at the heart of what we do, and we believe that the rooftop and its outstanding views of the downtown Houston skyline will only elevate their experience at Georgia James.
The lounge is open Monday through Thursday 5 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday 5 to 11 p.m., and Sunday 5 to 9 p.m. It also will remain open one hour after the dining room closes.
