Amid talk of a third bridge, former premier Najib Razak says an agreement was already reached with Singapore for transit link from JB to Tuas, linking up with Singapore's MRT.
Former premier Najib Razak said agreement was reached in 2018 for a JB transit link connecting to Singapore’s MRT.
However, he pointed out that Singapore would need to be consulted, and negotiations could take a long time. He said the proposed Transit Rapid Singapore-Johor Baru rail link could ferry as many as 60,000 passengers at peak hours when completed in 2024. It would have been jointly owned by state-owned companies.
