BMG’s Adam King said: “Labour continue to sit pretty with their commanding 17-point lead over the Conservatives. Personally, Keir Starmer continues to tread water with a net satisfaction rating of +3 – though this doesn’t look too bad when compared with the state of things on the other side of the aisle.
38 per cent of those surveyed said they thought the UK should send its fighter planes to Ukraine to help the country defend itself against Russian aggression, with 28 per cent opposed to the idea. Robert Struthers of BMG said: “As the world observes the first anniversary of the Russian invasion, public support for the UK’s continued backing of Ukraine is yet to waver. Two in five believe the UK is doing just about enough to support Ukraine in its war with Russia, with one in four saying we are doing too little – essentially unchanged when compared to August last year.
BMG Research interviewed a representative sample of 1,500 GB adults online between 21-23 February. Data are weighted. BMG are members of the British Polling Council and abide by their rules.Nearly two thirds of British people fear that they may be unable to afford essentials such as food and heating.
