Fifty percent of Americans surveyed by Fox News said Trump should be removed, with 44 percent responding 'no' and 6 percent saying they are still undecided.
, said the president should be impeached but not removed from office in the poll released on December 19 -- the day after the House of Representatives voted to impeach Trump.
This month's Fox News poll of 1,005 registered voters through landline and cell phone numbers also revealed particularly high interested in the upcoming 2020 presidential election. Fifty-five percent of Americans said they are extremely interested in the upcoming presidential election, while 27 percent said they are"very interested.
Since October, Trump's overall favorable rating ticked up by two percentage points to 45 percent while his unfavorable rating fell by one point. By comparison, Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has a favorable rating of 43 percent and Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has the support of only 30 percent of those surveyed by Fox News.
Forty-five percent said Trump has not been successful in revising trade deals with other countries in order to make them more favorable to the United States. Impeachment, partisanship/unity, climate change, the economy and jobs and political corruption were all listed as the top concerns of those surveyed.
