A Dallas-based home and apartment builder is planning its largest building yet.

Larkspur Capital Partners bought a development site on Commerce Street between Deep Ellum and Fair Park where it plans to build a residential tower. “The Juniper, as we’re calling it, is a mixed-use project that will consist of 19 levels with 338 apartment units, ground floor retail and an adjacent park,” said Larkspur Capital’s Carl Anderson."We expect to clear the site in September followed by construction commencing in November.

“The Juniper will be adjacent to The Willow, our eight-level multifamily project that we’re currently building across Commerce Street and which is delivering units beginning in October.”loft apartment project is under construction at Commerce and Willow streets on the eastern edge of Deep Ellum. Both of the new apartment projects are just blocks from the huge Baylor Scott & White medical complex on the east side of downtown Dallas.“The project, designed around downtown views and maximum sun exposure for the amenity deck, will have perpetually unobstructed views of downtown since Deep Ellum is mostly comprised of low-slung buildings,” Anderson said.
