The quake first struck just after 4 a.m. local time and was reportedly felt as far away as Reno and Sacramento.

The magnitude 6.4 quake has been marked as"reviewed" by the Nevada Seismological Laboratory, meaning it's magnitude has been finalized by a seismologist. The quakes, including the 6.4, are striking in the desert between Tonopah and Hawthorne, near U.S. 95, according the a Nevada Seismological lab map of the earthquakes.
