Nets guard Ben Simmons is healthy and has big aspirations for this season after dealing with a back injury last year.

He said on media day “there were multiple times where you didn’t see Ben Simmons out there and that’s just because I physically couldn’t do it.” He said there were times when he “couldn’t sit down properly, I couldn’t get into cars and be comfortable sitting down too long.” He said the back injury also “took a toll on him mentally.
“It’s crucial, critical, because the dimension he adds is unique,” Johnson said of Simmons on the YES Network. “It will allow us to do a lot of unique things. When he’s at his best, he’s one of the best in the league.“I want to be back where I was. I want to be an All Star. I want to be better than an All Star.
