Netflix announced that the ad-supported 'Basic with Ads' plan will launch on November 3 for $6.99 a month in the US.

. Next month, Netflix will introduce its “Basic with Ads” tier, which will cost $6.99 a month in the US. The plan will officially be available on November 3 at 9 a.m. PT. The plan will also be available in Australia, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Spain, and the UK.

There are also a few notable differences. For the Basic with Ads plan, the video quality maxes out at 720p, you’ll see an average of 4 to 5 minutes of ads per hour, some movies and shows won’t be availableNetflix also listed the reasons why Basic with Ads will be exciting for advertisers:: At launch, ads will be 15 or 30 seconds in length, which will play before and during shows and films.
