About 15% of NetApp's previously announced layoffs are coming from the company's San Jose headquarters.
Of the 960 NetApp Inc. workers who the company said last month were going to be laid off in a cost-cutting move, 148 of them are based at its San Jose headquarters, a document made public Thursday revealed.
The cuts represent about 14% of the 1,060 people NetApp has in San Jose, according to Business Journal research. Among the people it's letting go are two vice presidents, two senior directors and some 20 software engineers, according to Garbett's letter.
