Net foreign outflow from Bursa Malaysia continues at RM254.1mil

The sectors that recorded the highest net foreign outflows are financial services (RM75.9mil), consumer products and services (RM51.2mil), and industrial products and services (RM50.3mil).

In a statement, MIDF Research said the sectors that recorded the highest net foreign outflows were financial services , consumer products and services and industrial products and services .As for local institutions, MIDF said they remained net buyers for a sixth consecutive week at RM200.9mil.

"Following Bank Negara’s decision to maintain the OPR at 3% on Thursday, Friday witnessed the highest inflows from this investor class," said the research firm. Local retailers remained net buyers for the second consecutive week with RM53.2mil worth of domestic equities. According to MIDF, there was a decrease in the average daily trading volume of foreign investors and retail investors but an increase among local institutional investors .
