Was it odd to be living at home with your parents while your songs started to get more and more traction online? I think I'm always kind of writing for a bigger project. I don't know what project it is, but I think that there's certain songs that I'm like, “okay, this is going there, and I'm okay if this doesn't see daylight for two more years.” Other songs, I need to have its moment [immediately], mostly because I'm impatient. It can be kind of all consuming, because everything that you think about is, “How do I market this song?” Sometimes you're just like, “I hope it markets itself.” It's hard to break apps like TikTok where I know that there's a lot of people that would love this song, but how do I get it to them without shoving it down their throats?It's difficult because I feel like you're seeing so many talented people have their lives change because of one song.
