with the pressures of life and fear the stigma they may face should they decide to reach out for help. You’re not alone!
So, in conjunction with World Mental Health Day happening on October 10, here are a few Malaysian helplines that you, or a loved one, might find helpful if you ever need a listening ear.Buddy Bear was started during the Movement Control Order as a secure space for children aged 6 to 18 to share whatever struggles they may be facing and let them express themselves.
PT Foundation is a non-profit organisation focusing primarily on issues surrounding sexual and mental health. Aside from running a helpline to give Malaysians an outlet to speak and share freely, they also run free HIV & STI tests regularly around Klang Valley.More info: FacebookMental Illness Awareness & Support Association was birthed by Anita Abu Bakar after her own struggles with mental health issues led her to realise how truly widespread mental health conditions are.
Started in 2022, Help with Empathy and Love is a service by the Ministry of Health that responds to calls and complaints related to mental health, suicidal behaviour, self-harm, panic attacks, and more.
