Orlando Pirates will be without three players due to injury ahead of the Nedbank Cup match with Hungry Lions on Saturday.Pirates coach Jose Riveiro revealed the four players that were unavailable for the Nedbank Cup match at the Orlando Stadium.
“It didn’t change so much. The situation with Evidence Makgopa, Paseka Mako, Bandile Shandu…,” Riveiro told“Now we have the suspension of Thabiso Lebitso, he came to the team with three yellow cards from Chippa, and the fourth was against Kaizer Chiefs, he won’t be part of the game and that’s all in terms of casualties and little injuries,” he said as perOrlando Pirates should have enough players to finish the job against their Nedbank Cup opponents.
Hungry Lions will visit Orlando Stadium with nothing to prove or lose, which might cause a problem for the Sea Robbers. A win against Pirates would go down as one of the Nedbank Cup’s biggest upsets.
The Buccaneers’ rivals Kaizer Cheifs were dumped out by MFC team Milford FC last month. Riveiro’s side defeated Crystal Lake 6-0 but he is aware that their last 16 opponents are much organised and clinical.3-2 this past weekend, Pirates head into the match as favourites and with high confidence. Since losing to Maluti FC a decade ago, the Buccaneers have never slipped up in this competition.Kick-off is for 18:00 and the match will be televised on SuperSport TV.
