Just under half of Republicans would not vote for former President Donald Trump in 2024 if he is convicted of a felony, according to a new poll.
In a survey conducted on Wednesday and Thursday, 45% of Republicans nationwide said if Trump was"convicted of a felony crime by a jury," they would not vote for him.The Reuters/Ipsos poll also revealed that 35% indicated that they would vote for him regardless. All others said they didn't know.
Despite this, 75% of respondents agreed that the indictments brought against him were politically motivated. Two-thirds further said they don't believe the most recent indictment's assertion that Trump sought to perpetrate election fraud in an effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
