He told the State Assembly on Tuesday that not all STR applicants were approved as they may not have met the requirements and it was not based on any category or quotas under each state constituency.
He added that this includes applicants having an income of more than RM5,000 per month for households, elderly people who do not have a partner and single individuals earning more than RM2,500. He added that some applicants did not pass because they could not fulfil the requirements for single individuals or full-time student status.
He said in the Kapayan area, there are a total of 1,345 recipients involving an allocation of approximately RM1mil.
