Highs will climb into the mid 60s on Wednesday, nearly 25 degrees above normal.
Tuesday will be another day of unseasonably mild conditions as highs climb well into the 50s in northern and Central Jersey and above the 60-degree mark across a large swath of South Jersey, forecasters say.
Rain is expected to move into central and Northern New Jersey between mid- and late morning with forecasters uncertain how far south rain will spread. “One of the forecast challenges with this will be where the southern edge of this sets up as it will most likely be near the Interstate 95 corridor,” the weather service said in its morning forecast discussion. “As a result, think the steadiest precipitation will be mainly near and north of places like Philadelphia and adjacent portions of southern .”
Tuesday will be another mild day in New Jersey with temperatures topping out in the low 60s in southern areas.More rain is likely Tuesday night with low temps fall into the mid to upper 40s, which is warmer than the normal highs in early January. Wednesday will be even warmer with temperatures climbing into the 60s statewide on another cloudy day with periods of rain.
