More than 51,500 people displaced by Typhoon EgayPH and FalconPH, and the southwest monsoon remain in evacuation centers as of Saturday, the NDRRMC said. | charieabarcaINQ

Based on the NDRRMC’s situation report released at 8 a.m., August 5, at least 648 evacuation hubs in Regions 1, 2, 3, and 6, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa are serving as temporary shelters for 51,593 people displaced by the three severe weather events.The total count of displaced people due to Egay, Falcon, and the southwest monsoon, which is locally known as habagat, is 285, 202 as of Saturday.

Two out of the 29 reported deaths due to typhoons and the southwest monsoon were also validated by the NDRRMC.
