NCAA has developed a state safety programme (SSP) to align with the requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

In a statement on Wednesday by Michael Achimugu, NCAA director of public affairs and consumer protection, the agency said the document provides a strategic approach for managing aviation safety in line with international best practices. “The development of the SSP draft is a testament to Nigeria’s commitment to adhering to ICAO Annex 19, which provides a comprehensive framework and strategic approach for managing aviation safety in line with international best practices.”
