“I’m never going to change the way I play basketball,” Green said the day after his ejection.
In the hours following the ejection, Fitzgerald spoke to a pool reporter regarding the decision to call a Flagrant 2 on Green and said his contact against Grizzlies big man Brandon Clarke was “unnecessary and excessive which leads to a flagrant foul penalty two and ejection.”
“I have no reaction,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said in response to the league’s decision. “We’re powerless in this stuff so whatever the league decides, whatever the referees decide, that’s what stands.”
