The BN secretary-general says he wants the two coalition partners to raise the issue of his appointment at the meeting so that it can be sorted out once and for all.
KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional secretary-general Nazri Aziz today said he will not attend the coalition’s meeting scheduled for this Friday.
Earlier, MCA and MIC said Nazri’s appointment as secretary-general last September was not in accordance with the BN constitution. He reiterated that he would resign if his appointment was deemed illegal after the meeting. “I don’t have any problem if I’m rejected. I am okay with being kicked out,” he said.
“When Zahid offered the position to me, I took it. Every MIC rep cheered for me when Zahid made the announcement but after four months they claim they weren’t invited for a discussion,” said Nazri.
