MCA president Wee Ka Siong and his MIC counterpart, SA Vigneswaran, said the BN constitution stipulated that the secretary-general should be appointed by the BN chairman after consultation with the Supreme Council to hold office for two years. “MCA and MIC’s stand is that Nazri has no locus standi to make any statement as the BN secretary-general,” the two parties said in a joint statement.
