The Navotas City government recorded zero Covid-19 active cases in the city on Thursday, Feb. 16, after the recovery and release of the last two patients from isolation on the same day.

“Since February 11, we have not recorded any new cases of the disease. We owe this breakthrough to our frontliners and all the members of the city’s COVID-19 response team” Navotas City Mayor John Reynald “John Rey” Tiangco said.

According to the city government, Navotas was the last city in Metro Manila to report the local transmission of the virus when it logged its first Covid-19 case on March 28, 2020. Meanwhile, Covid-19 vaccinations for residents still continue in different inoculation sites in the city.
