Industry and Science Minister Ed Husic says the National Reconstruction Fund is sending an “important signal” showing Australia backs the manufacturing industry and its workers.

“When you talk with any Australian manufacturing worker the one thing that stands out in them is pride, they are proud of what they make, they’re proud of the products, that they’re making a contribution to the economy … proud to make a difference in someone’s lives,” Mr Husic said during Question Time on Thursday.

“The $15 billion National Reconstruction Fund … it’s sending an important signal, it’s Australians backing Australians.”
