KUALA LUMPUR: The National Non-Revenue Water Programme will be implemented from 2025 to 2030 through grant funding, the Dewan Rakyat was told on Tuesday.

Deputy Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister Akmal Nasrullah Mohd Nasir said the programme would involve two approaches, namely the replacement of critical pipes nationwide and a holistic NRW solution in six states, namely Pahang, Kelantan, Perlis, Sabah, Sarawak, and the Federal Territory of Labuan.

The National NRW Programme will improve water management across the country, involving a cost of RM2.525bil which has been approved by the Cabinet on July 24.
