National Assembly to consider motion to prevent unfettered, undisclosed donations to political parties
The National Assembly will consider a motion to plug a whole in the lawbook caused by the Electoral Matters Amendment Bill.
Parliament passed the Electoral Matters Amendment Bill in March. The bill tinkered with provisions relating to the declaration of donations to political parties and the split of how funds are determined, now giving the bigger parties a larger share of the money.
