As law enforcement agencies respond to a data breach at a law firm that kept the big four banks and the Health Department as clients, the federal government announces it has finally filled the role of the nation's first cyber security coordinator.

"Air Marshal Goldie will drive the work across government in cyber security ... that is needed to meet what is a very substantial and serious growing challenge for our nation." Air Marshal Goldie will hit the ground running, with law enforcement agencies already working with HWL Ebsworth, the latest private firm to fall victim to a cyber breach.
