) night off for Texas’ bullpen, which had either blown a lead or turned a tied game into a deficit in the seventh inning or later six times in the team’s previous 13 games. That includes Friday night’s series opener in which Rangers had led 4-0 through seven-and-a-half-innings, but coughed up one run in the eighth, three in the ninth and a walk-off run in the 10th.

“I think the work speaks for itself,” said Rangers catcher Jonah Heim, who also caught Eovaldi’s complete game shutout vs. the Yankees. “He’s got all his pitches working for him.”and 2 runs scored, drove in the game’s first run with a single in the fourth inning that scored Adolis Garcia. After a Leody Taveras single, Travis Jankowski drove in Heim to make it 2-0. A Marcus Semien infield single scored Taveras to make it 3-0.
