A Nashville shooting victim was honored with a prayer service at her family's former church in Dallas, Texas. The victim was the daughter of lead Covenant Church pastor Scruggs.
where he began serving as the pastor at Covenant Presbyterian Church, according to Scrugg’s Facebook profile. Hallie Scruggs, nine, was killed in the Nashville school shooting, Monday, March 27, 2023.
Those who attended the service ranged in ages — some young enough to be pushed in a stroller, others old enough to use a walker. PCPC senior pastor Mark Davis shared the faith community's support for the Scruggs family in a media statement released by the church and posted on its website."We love the Scruggs family and mourn with them over their precious daughter Hallie," he said in the statement.
Hallie Scruggs' father, Chad Scruggs, was an associate pastor at Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas before moving to Nashville to become the lead pastor at their sister church, Covenant Presbyterian Church. The Dallas faith community gathered for a prayer service on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.
