Nasdaq's 2% late-day rally puts index on brink of best day in about 6 weeks
The Nasdaq Composite Index on Monday was poised to climb by the most since late January, as a broad rally took hold of the stock market to start the week, shaking off early bumps. The Nasdaq COMP, +1.84% was up by about 2% with about a half-hour left in trading at 7,557, with that gain, if it holds, representing the best percentage rise for the technology-laden index since a 2.2% rally on Jan. 30, according to FactSet data.
