Kevin Gill's latest image of Jupiter features its Great Red Spot and turbulent southern hemisphere. It's a color-enhanced composite of three images captured by JunoCam as Juno performed a close pass of the gas giant on Feb. 12, 2019, between 9:59 a.m. PST and 10:39 p.m. PST . Citizen scientist Björn Jónsson created this global map of Jupiter in equirectangular projection using photos of from two NASA probes. Jupiter's equatorial areas are taken from photos sent back by NASA's Cassini probe in 2000 when it flew past Jupiter on its way to Saturn, while the polar areas come from JunoCam.Who are these 'citizen scientists'?
